Popular Post shaggy1969
A big hello to one and all in the farming community. Arrived back in Holland last night after spending a wonderful but far too short a time with my family back home in Thailand. A big thank you to members old and new for your outstanding contributions to Farm Photos whilst I was away.Unfortunately my "likes" quota has run dry for today but will be back with a fistful ASAP. In our area like many it was rice planting time,so be prepared to be bored to the back teeth with rice planting scenes One of the local farmers from our town returning home tired and mud splattered after spending the day in the fields. * A big congratulations to Jake and Mac with their new arrivals Edited August 10, 2014 by shaggy1969

Popular Post shaggy1969
Welcome back, Shaggy. Thanks mate @ Jake look forward to seeing how your progress with the farrowing pens mate. Are you staying with the standard design or have you got something special in mind? @ David a couple of our ling noi and his new toy ......... without captions (I'll get you back for that one ) The story behind these photos is we had a couple of fish tank round the back of our place in which Ma is raising a few catfish. As a mothers day prezzie I said that I wanted to build another couple of tanks for her so she could grade the fish better and hopefully at the end would be able to have a constant supply of fish big enough to sell to her customers. So off we went (Mrs Shaggy,Myself and Junior) to our local building suppliers to order the materials needed for the build. Parked out front of the builders home was his Etan...... Juniors new toy !!! More fun for Junior and his new toy was had when the builder dropped off the materials at our place.Junior got himself in the drivers seat and started checking out his new ride. All went well until it was time for the builder to reclaim his vehicle from the clutches of our little one..... a few tears were shed.

David48
I use a Free program called 'OpenOffice' ... it's a suite of programs similar to Microsoft Office. I just simply copy and paste the photo into the open Drawing Page, insert a couple of text boxes, type in the text, group the elements together, convert to a bitmap, then convert that to a photo file. I learnt how to do it by learning how to make 'buttons' ... which I made into Avatars. My first, I reckon is still my best ... I run an old computer built maybe 10 years ago and still run XP, so the process has to be quite simple. If you are keen to learn, I'll send the more detailed info in a PM ... just it might take me a while. . .
pigeonjake
hi shaggy, and like the others say welcome back mate, your little ones coming along great, must of got his mams looks,,lol the farrowing crates, yes im going to build my own, what ive thought of is were we put square section into the concreat for the pen doors, ill weld more square section beams across the pen, then weld some bent round bar onto that to form a farrowing pen in the front and out the back when done ill see if i can scan a rough drawing and post it, take care mate jake
