A few months back I mentioned that my wife was going into the sugarcane buying business and I would post the progress of starting up. There seemed to be interest on here.

The business is open and going gangbusters so here goes:

Ploy worked for a sugarcane buyer last season and decided it was a heck of a lot better than

stooping in a rice paddy for the rest of her life. It helped that she had a possible foreign

investor waiting in the wings.

A perfect piece of land with a 30 year lease.

Foundation for the scale.

Footing hole.

Enough rebar?

Supervisor and crew.

Very green.

One question,what kind of gear are you using to unload and load the sugarcane of the trucks/trailers?

About time you started spreading the good news mate,think you will be too busy running round like a headless chicken to find time to come over

I did think about that then i looked at the horizon and the watermark,didn't think they looked the best.

Those rubber trees in the background are from my Uncle and the plants growing in between them are his coffee plants.

I heard last week from the Missus that they have started to flower.....who know's,I may yet get to taste Isaan grown coffee
