Can't claim these as my own. (well maybe a little bit) My wife bought a small bag of cherry tomatoes and didn't use them before well past their use by date.So she decided to spread them around a pot and put an inch of soil on top the forgot about them again. When I spotted them there was hundreds of then around 3 inches high so I decided to save some of them and transplanted them to three or four to a pot and threw the rest away.

the best luck i ever had raising potatoes in/during hot season/country was to place the seed potatoe in a shallow farrow and then cover with chopped straw to a depth of 6 inches or so. air can move thoughout the system to provide cooling especially if you spray with a little water during the heat of the day. granted this is not intended for large volume production but can provide a few good messes just so the taste is not forgotten.

hi slap,

ive had good luck with them grown in earthern pots i think they kept the soil cool,

i had a beautiful boiling of new potatoes when i got back,

im going to see how these go in the hot season, i know they will be better in the cool season, i can try and get a boiling of new pots for christams,

I'm still learning my self but see if this helps if you want to try it again.

Focal length 28mm

Exposure 1/800 on shutter priority setting

F/ 4.5

ISO100

White Balance Auto

Comes out dark before post processing.

In post processing,I increased the light and then did a little bit of sharpening and that gave me what you see.

I am sure any of the more accomplished posters would be able to improve on that and if you approached any of them that they would be only too happy to help.

hi guys,

i havnt got round to doing the grafting yet to busy,

but i was telling my wife about it,,

and she said can do many things,

she said can grow veg in banana tree,,,,

i said what,,

she said ill show you tomorow,

well i was down at the pigs,, my wife came and said ill show you about veg in banana,

she got a little stick, made some small holes in the banana trunk and put a cow pat seed in each one, i stood there looking and thought well i never,

today,, they are only growing, ill take some pics when they are bigger,

but i thought what a great idea, keeps them away from the chickens and ducks,

the things you learn here,, like the old saying your never to old to learn, and you never stop learning,

i put this post above in the grafting topic,

well here is a couple of pics of them doing it, i dont believe they are growing but they are, when they get bigger ill take some pics of them,

and jill looking for trouble, she gives our other 2 dogs the run around they cant catch her

anyway this is end of play today, work will stop tomorow for son kran, so i can tidy up a bit,

jake
