shaggy1969
A rare moment. I really like pigs. And ducks. I could never be a farmer as i would never have the heart to sell them off for food. Eat them form a shop, sure Bookman !!!! did you just mention the 'D' word?....you know what happens when I see that don't you Luckily I have the capability to ' switch off ' when it comes to slaughtering and butchering the animals. When I was younger I worked in a slaughterhouse and at a butchery and I think that helped make things easier. But I will add that I can not stand to see an animal suffer and so if and when it's time has come then it MUST be done quick and clean. The ' hit and stick ' Thai method does actually go against the grain for me but I can and have done this. My main concern is/was the animals well being whilst it is alive. Ironic really as that was one off the things that made me lose the farm in the end !!! Off to look for some ' D ' word photos Edited May 31, 2013 by shaggy1969

That must off been one helluva nasty storm you had there farmerjo. The new building is coming along nicely....'wood is good' but 'metal is better' This was my old neighbors house after a nasty storm a few years ago....luckily no one was inside at the time. Off to look for some ' D ' word photos Iv'e always gone under the theory that I work on, Is that most of man or women eat meat and if you need to grow livestock to support yourself or the community is that you give those animals the best life you can before that time comes and make the end as swift and pain free as possible, For me I feel Kharma will give me understanding
Popular Post David48
I remember some time ago being tapped on the shoulder about some Sunset photos. Happy to say that while I was working through the photos for the Prawn Thread, I came across these. Life on the Farm at Sunset, feeding the fish in the Lake.

Thank you all The camera doesn’t have that much to do with it in my case (Canon S90). I even have a couple dead pixels on the sensor which need to be repaired in most images. Just need to be lucky enough to be in the right place, at the right time, with good light. I have played around with Aperture for a while and seem to have developed a style of presentation though trial and error. Some people like my pictures and some don’t. Thanks for being one of those who seem to like them.

Because of the combination of the more or less dirty yard and those flowers in the middle.
