I always find it cute how offensive the Thai government is, yet how quickly they take offense. Go figure.

"And in Media-News, the BBC announce, that Doctor Who's TARDIS is to receive a long-overdue upgrade." rolleyes.gif

Thais take offence because there are budha images on the outside of some public toulets 10.000 Km away.

Thai transgenders take offence becasue of an Ikea ad.

Thai people take offence because a dutch singer made a song that covered a real story that happened in Krabi.

Thai people should better take offence about things that happen at top level in their own country and affects them directly

Our national flags adorns the feet, <deleted>, breasts or heads of Thai's just about every time I venture into a shopping mall yet there was uproar a few years ago when an Ozzie firm printed the Thai flag on a run o' training shoes!

Being a non biased newspaper, we did contact the Dutch advertising ageny involved. Unfortunately they had no comment AS THEY WERE TOO BUSY GETTING ON WITH THEIR F@#&ING LIVES!!!

Like the rest of the 300 million or so Buddhists worldwide. :)

This one is one of a secular sick brain who has no feeling about religion ....

Must be the same one of secular sick brain who allowed a huge billboard of Adolf H. along Sukhumvit some years ago to promote Ripley's Believe it or not, or the same sick brain who allows the sale of German war-helmets. Of course, the same sick brains are wearing them.

The Dutch Co are fortunate they didnt choose something from Islam.

Yeah, that would have been a beaut.. The Dutch have got in trouble before printing assumingly pictures of Muhammed.. Pesonally, I don't give a S**t. whistling.gif

Who said taking the piss isn't popular?

Nothing wrong pissing in these public toilets. Might be different if you piss at the posters..how easy they feel offended. Thailand should focus on their own piss..

Just arrived in Amsterdam and I can tell you that Buddha poster is still hanging there. I had to piss in there and it felt great knowing HE was still there. wai2.gif

Followers of a major world religion complain that an advert on a public toilet is offensive to that religion. The company who produced that toilet agree with them and apologise. That seems to be the meat of this thread. It's done.
