Thats a rather general question Jason .

Were you looking for new ? Were you looking for used ?

Unless there are tearing down something else in either of those two locations you can expect to get used . Very used . Now if you would take something say about a 25 miniute drive from either of those two places you can find NEW for about a million . Then you can expect to spend alot more fixing it to your liking .

I live in Baan Mai, which is about 4K west of the Mall. Two and a half bedroom houses in this moo baan (about 10 years old) are selling for about 400K baht. These are very simple homes, but completely adequate.

Brand new, similarly sized homes in this area sell for about a million baht.

Hi buadhai 2 and a half bedrooms? what state are these houses in? do you have any pictures?

Cheers

Jason

The house I'm in has two large bedrooms. One with a bathroom, one without. There is also one very small room -- big enough for a kid's bed and a desk and not much else. The condition varies widely. For 400K you have to do some fixing up, but nothing major.
