One of my favourite dishes is "ceviche"...pickled seafood. There are many ways

to make this and it's pretty easy...so easy in fact that one doesn't even have to

turn on a stove. The wiki link is below and so is one of me & the missus favourites.

Just make it fresh...& you won't get the BKK trots...

My wife made a small mistake and used sand crab on one occasion , it went all mushy bah.gif

Also not too much coriander leaves , the root is good though , after a few beers w00t.gif

Anything that didn't breath clear air and eat green grass has absoutely no right to be on my plate....unless it's Finnon Haddie, Arbroath Smokie or a fresh fish supper of course! tongue.png

Re: Cheviche. While backpacking in Ecuador in 1999 I got invitation to a local home for dinner. Local fisherman and her wife prepared the best cheviche I had ever eaten.

This came with an twist. The lovely wife made an orange juice, which she was very, very proud of. Once I saw that she used well water with the juice I first tried politely not to drink the juice. She looked depressed and I decided to drink the lovely orange juice.

The next two days were not the best ones in my life, but at least the lovely and profoundly hospitable couple were happy :)

Making cheviche along other foods.
