Optons For A Thai To Teach English Or Thai

Featured Replies

I have a thai friend who has a degree in English. She writes, reads and speaks english excellently having worked for many years in foreign embassies. She has vast experience in report writing and conversing in english. Her business english is very good as are her organization skills.

What are her options to teach either thai to foreigners or english to thais? Or both?

Does she need any other qualification than her degree (Thammasat University)?

What sort of salary can she expect?

Which would be the best company to contact?

Thanks in advance.

Is she young, single and good looking? biggrin.png

A friend of mine(European) makes around 30.000 baht a month teaching English in Hat Yai. His English is far from perfect...I believe he had to get a certificate proving his English skills were 'sufficient' that had cost him $2000.

He is a foreigner however so I don't know if they would pay a Thai the same, or if they even would be willing to let Thais teach English to Thais...would be the most logic thing to do if you ask me because that way the children could ask explanation that they'd understand... But yeah you're talking about Thailand here, logic is not always the most obvious here :P
