My Thai partner is thinking about starting up a registered company in her home city.

In my opinion it would be best for her to use her maiden name rather than her married name. I don't want to get into any Thai bashing but I think you all know were I' coming from.

Is this a wise move or am I talking a load of ****.?

So long as she registers with her Thai ID card it does not matter if her last name is Thai or foreign, she is considered a Thai national

It is important to note that since she must use her Thai ID card to register the business she must use the name registered on the ID card and cannot choose which name to register the business with.
