Last year I subscribed To TOT's 7mbps broadband service for 1 year for THB590 per month. In september last year TOT and the other major providers stated that they would automatically "automatically" increase speed for existing subscribers a no extra cost to 10mbps. my speed remains the same. Do yo thnk i should continue to wait or contac TOT?

Oddly, I do seem to gave got the upgrade to 10/512 automatically - confirmed by my router's status page. This happened several weeks ago.

However, my last bill from ToT still indicates that I'm on 7/512! My neighbour didn't get his upgrade and is still on 7/512 so perhaps it's in the luck of the draw.

Previously, I have had to go in person to the ToT office (Pattaya) to apply for upgrades as they became available and this always seemed to involve starting a new one-year contract. This time I'm keeping quiet!

I went to TOT office and upgraded from 7MB to 10 MB, and it is not as good as when

it was when it was 3Mbs, for the first couple of days it seemed faster, but that may have

been because I thought it should, then reality kicked in and its back to been crap again.

3-7-10 there just numbers they put out ,as other companies increase (supposedly) their

band width, so be careful what you wish for,if your service is stable, and reasonably fast

just stick with it.

My understanding with TOT, if there is a free upgrade out.

You must request it, its not automatic with that lot

Offers and changes happen monthly, so its worth watching out for offers / free upgrades

I dumped it for there super CAT service no problems had it for 5 months real fast speeds 34 mps upload and 14.96 download speed but it costs me 7k per month but well worth it in blood pressure ( pissed off) time and effort with tot

Instant 24 hour service only used it one time and english speaking thai person fixed it in 10 secs never had a problem since

You pay over here for what you get.

10meg...I dream of 10meg.... out here in the sticks (Isaan) I think I'm still in bytes/min rather than seconds. Closest small town with any decent net access is 20kms away, so I guess end of the century before I see anything like those speeds... rolleyes.gif
