Where To Find A Dvi To Vga Adapter

Featured Replies

I have a DVI monitor and I want an adapter to plug it into a VGA computer port until I get a new video card. I understand the quality wont be the same, but I dont care.

I cant imagine trying to wander around pantip asking non english speaking people for a tiny little adapter that most of them have probably never seen. Does anyone know of a place where its possible to get one?

They can be seen here:

They can probably be found at bigger accessory shops. Print out a photo and description of the adapter and bring it with you.

I have a DVI-VGA adapter, since it was included with my VGA card.

Doesn't the monitor have a vga port, so you can plug the cable in directly

or have they abandoned that altogether?

It might have a vga port as well. I will have to wait and see when it arrives in a few days

Some really high-end monitors don't have d-sub VGA connectors, like the Apple displays. It's pretty rare... usually it's the other way around, only D-sub connector and no DVI.

Well I just realized my monitor will have VGA, DVI, composite, component, and S-video connections, so I should be ok without an adapter :o

19 years later?  Do you really think he'll still be looking?

OP hasn't even logged on for 11 years.

But at least you got a plug in for SF Cable, whoever they are.
