Hey DAL,that tree of yours, turned out very nice eh?

Yeah shaggy. It was quite the adventure. I'm surprised the memory card survived the mad motorbike trip back. ^^

Trees at HomePro Chalong. Never noticed them until I parked up against one (not actually touching, I must add)...

I love the flame trees at this time of year.... here are two beside each other with orangy colour and deep red blossoms

Normally people would pick these flowers to eat in their kanom jeen nam ngiaw but this tree was perhaps too difficult to reach on the side of the mountain.

I've never seen anyone climb to pick the flowers, but those which fall (after the Mynah birds eat their fill) are quickly gathered by any passers by if beside a road. You know that these trees have spikey trunks, and are said to be in the hell for adulterers, and to be climbed naked?

This orange flame tree is trying to hide behind the coconut... not too successfully... I could not get a better view!

I prefer the red more than the orange flowers!

after a fire the first thing to recover and show green are the banana trunks because they grow from the inside and their cell structure holds much water.... next are the bamboo shoots (in the foreground).
