I just bought a new IQ6 and so far I am okay with it. It is my first experience with android, so a learning curve is involved. One problem I have is how do I get my contacts and callander events from my outlook program to my phone. I was able to do this with a Nokia (Symbian), BlackBerry, and Samsung (Optimus), but cant figure out how to do it with my IQ ^, is there a way? Thanks.

Sorry I'm replying so late, I have been using (MyPhoneExplorer) and it works great to transfer my files ect. but I can not figure out how to transfer my contacts from my Outlook, maybe I'm just stupid. Can you explain it for me in simple English for me? I have done many internet searches, but can't figure it out.

I've started using MyPhoneExplorer too with an IQ6A. Appointments syncing works fine. But when I create a Task in MyPhoneExplorer it doesn't appear in Google Calendar on the phone after syncing. How do I see Tasks on the phone?

I use both WiFi and USB, both work fine.

Make sure the Android Client shows "USB Cable Plugged In", and choose USB in the PC Client: File, Settings, Connect via... USB Cable (Select radio button).

Assuming your USB drivers are sound, then it should work.

I've never used bluetooth, but imagine it should work similarly?

Works for me?

What do you consider a "Task"? Please be specific.

You can create a calendar item, not sure if this is what you mean by a "Task", which then should sync/replicate to Outlook and the Android Calendar on the phone via Google.

Thanks for the reply - tried as you said already.

I'm not sure why but when I plug in the Note2 by USB to my Win7 PC I can browse the phone with Explorer and it shows under Device Manager Portable Devices with drivers installed. Yet when I try and sync from Windows MyPhoneExplorer it says "No device attached to USB" and the Android MyPhoneExplorer says No USB cable plugged in with the red cross symbol.

I am running Win7/64 on both my desktop and notebook.

Did you modify the connection type in the My Phone Explorer settings on the PC to be "USB cable"?

Maybe re-boot the PC and phone?

Again, no problems here with multiple Android devices (SGS1, SGS2, SGS3) on both USB and WiFi; using Android 4.2.2 (4.0.4 on the SGS3).

Yes, set the MyPhoneExplorer on Win7/64 wiht settings of USB or AutoDet connect and cannot find phone.

When I get time back home (now traveling and trying to find wifi signals to sync), I will try on another PC and/or with another Android to see if I can simulate problem? Now I just have a Note2 with stock Samsung o/s Android connected with a Win7/64 laptop.

A Task is like a "ToDo" item and not the same as an Event (a "calendar item").

I think MyPhoneExplorer Tasks sync with Outlook Tasks, but not Google Tasks. So I don't think I'll be using MyPhoneExplorer, but Google Calendar instead directly via a web browser. On the phone I'm using Jorte Calendar which can sync with Google Calendar, but I'm currently having issues with time zone when syncing Events that are in a different time zone from home time zone.
