Then it must be true. :o

Ladyboys??!!!

Butterfly, say it ain't so!

I have an army of ladyboys who follow me around when I am in Pattaya, and I am not even paying :o

The Moog dragged me a few times into ladyboys bars out of curiosity and for all good fun and of course he had to brag about it in here :D

I have a few pics of him in the arms of a few. Should I post them ? :D

Boon Mee, usually I don't bother getting involved with your posts, but I have to ask have you seen the V for Vendetta film or book? Do you agree with the writers opinions in that article?

Have to admit that when I read a movie reviewer's opinion that goes like this: ..."if you're like the rest of mainstream America--you support our troops, believe in firmly responding to terrorists on our own shores, and/or respect Christianity--then, don't waste your time at this piece of garbage masquerading as a superhero movie. It is anything but." - it sorta puts me off going to go and pay to see the film... :o

And that's a very poor review of the book/movie, totally missing the point of it and whether you support the troops or not wouldn't effect how you view this film. In fact for the reviewer to make that point is incredibly dumb, although perhaps not as people seem to be taking her word as gospel and re posting her article and web address round the net.

As a further fact someone could quite easily say, and be more correct in suggesting that if you didn't follow and at leat partially agree the 'heros' opinions in this book/movie you would in fact be a supporter or Nazi practices in Europe.

The review she gave was in fact a piece of crap Boon Mee, which looks like it'd been written just to get a reaction, but without much thought or knowledge of the work.

I'm thinking it might be time for you to read the books and watch the movies you comment on, repeating someone else's opinion when you don't know if they are wrong or right seems very misguided to me and shows a he11 of a lot of blind faith. A little stupid no?

Anyway, don't take my word for it, read the book, watch the film, and then you could make up your own mind and have your own opinion about it.

Well, contrary to popular belief, I do attend films/read lots of stuff from both sides of the 'asile' but can honestly say that the last flik I saw to accurately portray the War On Terror was a long time ago: 'Little Drummer Girl'

One develops a knee-jerk reaction to anything that comes out of Hollywood these days as being blatently sympathetic to the enemy vs. our troops.

I'll check out 'V for Vendetta' and get back to you. :D

Stand corrected but contrary to popular belief (cv) I don't read Soldier of Fortune or Guns & Ammo! :D

Don't fall for false mask being put on 'Vendetta' .

I've read some of the reviews (haven't seen the movie for sale at any of the local vendors yet).

Had to laugh at the controversy though. It's all about perception, and a single word, "London".

Exchange "London" with "Baghdad" or "Kabul", and suddenly "V" is a heroic freedom fighter that everyone would support.

In fact, if this movie had been "set" in "fictional Baghdad", it would have a lot of paralells to Iraq prior to the invasion (cruel dictator running things, secret police keeping the populace under control, restrictions on freedoms, ect).

If this had been a movie about a man trying to overthrow Saddam (or Mullah Omar), he would be applauded for his heroism. But because it's about a man trying to overthrow a similar dictator in a "fictional" London, now he's a terrorist.

When I find the movie for sale at the market, I will buy it (just to see if Natalie is still sexy :D )

Maybe my perception will change after personally viewing the movie, instead of relying on the perceptions of other people :o

'2002' isn't a long time ago. I got it on DVD, a recomended buy.

But I fail to see how the movie in OP could be 'terrorist-appeasing'. I'm not sure you do it either since it has been indicated that you haven't seen it either?

Haven't seen it either but will check it out later when it's off cinema.

Only one mired in the far-left fever-swamps could view the movies Paradise Now & Syriana as anything other than terror-sympathetic... :o

Paradise Now? Where have I mentioned that movie? What movies is that...?

And I have yet to see Syriana, but I will check it out since I like to form my own oppinion.

Not regurgitate what someone wrote in a column...

Not to worry - I'm not off on any more political rants but wanted to pass on what the movie reviewers are saying about the new "UNITED 93" that's out.

It's supposed to be very good. :o
