Doors Doors Doors: Outer Breeze Doors For Condo?

Looking for an outer door for a condo (I supposed this is called a louvre door), you know the kind that has air holes to let in the breezes, that is mounted on the outside of a solid door with a frame that sticks out from the wall.

These can be made of wood or other materials.

I did find a store on Sukhumwit south of Pattaya Nua, going south on the right hand side, that makes such teak wood doors and installs, but looking for other options and styles.

They only offered the one style and it was rather boring in addition to being quite expensive.

Where are these things sold? Is there a contractor someone can recommend that can organize the whole little project?

I suggest you go for screen doors to let the breeze in and keep the mozzies out.

Not so good looking but more practical.

My condo developer installed double doors on all units of the new condo they built last year, a solid, conventional door and the louver door exactly like Thaiquila described (not screen). But in my condo the foyer doors are not the owner property but considered common property owned and to be taken care by the juristic person's office therefore you can't change it or modify it to your preferred design or specication of your choice. I found out about this when we tried to change the door knob. So you might want to check on that before installing a louver door.

There's another manufacturer on the Sukhumvit Road, south of Pattaya Nua Road, but on the LHS. There seems to be a fairly good selection of doors, including louvre doors, held there.
