Saanam Luang but watching the events, I keep hearing "Siensood" - best these Farang ears can do - which I gather is Traitor. Can't find 'Traitor' in my Haas or Becker?

Ah OK Hard to be sure but perhaps what you are hearing is "เสี่ยงสุด" , "Sieng Soot" which means, basically, "the last gamble (or risk)" which perhaps the commentators are using to describe Thaksins' efforts to remain in power? As I say, I am not at all certain that this is the phrase you are hearing though, does it fit into the context of the rest of the commentary? Patrick
March 7, 200620 yr Author Yes, I’m sure I’m hearing เสี่ยงสุด “Sieng Soot” but also another word that sounds like “Sai Sood” perhaps spelled ใส้สีก At any rate, I believe it’s associated with the English word for ‘traitor’? I seriously doubt Taksin meets on the level or parts on the square…
