I taught at schools in thai for 10 years then having had a enough of that i taught privately for the past 6 years. I have an MA in linguistics, yet have been surprised at how little response i have received from both low end language schools and 2nd/3rd tier Int'ls. Is teaching privately considered a sin? Being entirely in charge of my own business has been the hardest yet most rewarding choice I have made as a teacher. My previous three schools to that were Int'ls.

Your timing might not be the best, as the hiring season is not in full swing as of yet. Experience is experience, so I don't think the fact that you have been doing private work would play against you. Maybe age?
