i hear Rotiboy has recently been added to that list....darn, i like Rotiboy.

oh, and do you think the DTAC network will be able to handle a 150% increase in subsciptions?

They should be avoided, why? And in what way? As in, no stock purchases or simply no usage?

Also, AirAsia is only partially Shin-related (the Thai AirAsia subsidiary), I don't see what the parent Malay company would have to do with this...

I assume these are all parts of Shin Corp.

Why we should avoid them I do not know. I actually quite like the new bosses of Shin.

However.... if we want to avoid the devilish touch of the Shinawatras, then we need to look beyond the Shin held businesses to publically listed enterprises:

- banking (TMB)

- property development (SC Asset)

then publically listed but allegedly held through nominees:

- PTT

- EGAT (coming soon/one day/maybe not anymore I hope)

Then privately held enterprises through nominees or friends:

- hospitals (Phaya Thai and others)

- massage parlours (allegedly)

If we are going down that route, then I'll think in future you'll have to walk or bus it/from to Thailand. Although it is stricly owned by a partly privatised State Owned Enterprises, rumour has it that non TRT types didn't get a look in with the new airport during construction.

Nothing like a good monopoly!

indeed.

As the might Rupert Mudoch once said monopolies are the worst thing in the world, unless you own one.

People worry too much...I'm sure we've all unknowingly enjoyed some Soylent Cola or sandwich at one time or another :o

The only company I will avoid are the ones not on the list. The ones listed probably have great sales going on now to keep interest up!

Also,.....nobody outside of Bangkok cares about the list.

You mean you've actually managed to get to the front of the queue? Good effort...
