Wondering if anyone may know what this Capsule is?

My dentist in the Ploenchit Centre gave me about 12 of these, after I went back to him due to some pain I was experiencing following a Dental Bridge being fitted a couple of days earlier.

He is usually very good with explanations, but I think he was a tad busy at the time and simply told me to take 2 per day.

Silly mistake I made, having this work done a few days prior to returning home overseas, but having been his patient for several years and never experiencing any after-effects following any procedure, I never considered the time aspects.

I'm primarily wondering if the intermittent pain I'm still experiencing, may be a slight infection and that is what he gave me these caps for, or, if

"High Bite" problems may be the cause and these pills are for pain and some bite adjustment may still be required to correct this?

Pain after crown and bridge work can be because of high bites. I think you should see your local dentist for a minor occlusal adjustment. If the pain still persists and get worse over time, it could be because when he cut your teeth to prepare for crowns and bridges, it got too close to the nerves, in that case a root canal is on its way. Fingers crossed

Thanks for the responses.

The pain has subsided somewhat over the last couple of days.

I'm hoping that the initial pain was just this new intruder in the mouth just settling in and the prodding around to fit and cement the thing in place.

It's a bridge just to replace one molar back top and I only got it done as an aid to chewing.

I imagine at worst if a Root Canal is eventually needed to one of the two supporting teeth if a nerve has been gotten too close to, that this can be done 'through' the bridge in place.

Good lesson learned though, never to get a medical or dental procedure done too close to returning home!

I seriously doubt it can be done without removal and new bridge being made after a post implanted in tooth to support it. But with a bit of luck you may will not need the RCT

It can be done and not that uncommon. I remember asking my dentist about it and they drill through the bridge/crown and perform the root canal as normal. The post can still be applied through the opening.

Why would a root canal be needed? If you suspect an infection/nerve damage having it seen to sooner rather than later will decrease the likelihood that a root canal would be needed.
