Preferably fruit tree wood, but burls or anything that has a nice grain and figure to it will do. If you recently cut down a tree or two in your yard and it has a nice color to it, let me know. I want to start collecting different wood samples for woodturning to see which ones have the best overall qualities to it.

This topic is far different than what I expected from the title.

Exactly. I figured it was an easy answer, being a graduate of Morningwood Academy.
