Back And Lower Back Nerve Type Pain Nocturnal

Featured Replies

Good morning from Chiang Mai,

I.m 54. On going issue for 18 months. Without boring anyone will cut to the chase?

1. MRI says slight bulge disk 3/4 however specialist in australia and Lanna Chiangmai advise not likely the cause.

2. X-ray clear. Normal wear and tear.

3. Have exhausted the medicos in Melbourne and on a long wait list for pain management.

Symptoms

Pain is at it's worst whilst horizontal. Walking and running GREAT. Table tennis not even a twinge? I run in the Chiang Khian area, front of Chiangmai Uni if anyone wants a running partner.

After a good nights sleep wake up to sheer agony, very similar to piriformis syndrome symptoms. Walking or moving for 30 minutes relieves the pain. It's as if a nerve is trapped in the buttock or hip area.

Sacroiliac joint clear at MRI. My Specialist still suspects this could be the issue.

Tried pain killing injections and countless anti inflammatory drugs.

Am currently on Lyrica and while the horizontal pain remains with avengeance , I feel a hell of a lot more positive.

Can anyone help? Is there anyone out there experiencing similar issue? Any recommendations of a specialist in Chiangmai. Specialising in nerve entrapment?

All for now
