They have been very close in the last few seasons so well deserved. Owner spoke in glowing terms about Malky Mackay but you have to wonder will it be a poisoned chalice for him sometime next season given the experience of Championship winners in the last few seasons in the Premier League.

Well done to Cardiff and a big up (do the kids still say that?) to Mark Bellamy for resisting staying in the EPL to help his local team.

Next stop a Scottish club in the EPL and then the British Premier League (in my lifetime). Eventually the national team becomes Great Britain (not in my lifetime).

Of course the Scots could stop all that with their referendum.

No. They will have to swear their allegiance to England and denounce their Scottish nationality so that we can keep it the EPL laugh.png

I thought it was the BPL already, just change that bloody banks name to British and be done with it.

Congratulations to Cardiff, let's hope Leicester and Florist fail to make the play offs! 555

here's one to wet your whistle cardiff vs.swansea next yearw00t.gif

Yes, will be some overtime for the Welsh old bill that's for sure. Congrats to Cardiff City though, it's been a long time coming, been so close in recent seasons.

Great to see two Welsh teams in the Premier League! I think it's cool and was hoping they'd finally make it this season.

Bloody Premier league being taken over by taffy's biggrin.png

There speaks a man who does not know the difference between a Taff and a Jack. They are beside the River Taff, we are beside the Tawe. Jacks are in two minds about whether to welcome the Redbirds to the BPL. I suppose it is good for Wales, but Mr Tan has asked our Cardiff friends to sacrifice a lot to get his filthy lucre. I believe they are still looking for a buyer for 20,000 blue plastic seats. It will be interesting to see how big (or not) they become in Malaysia: it would not surprise me if they do a SE Asian tour. The Swans by contrast will do a pre-season trip to Korea.

I see where Cardiff has signed Gary Medel from Sevilla, Chilean international DM known as "The Pitbull". I've followed Medel since his days at Boca Juniors. As tough as they come but a red card waiting to happen. A very nasty fellow. It'll be interesting to see how he fares in the EPL. If your club is playing Cardiff, pray that Medel doesn't break the leg of your favorite player.thumbsup.gif

Big deal to change the colour for the blluebirds, for what? an asian superstition, giggle.gif still, made the man hapi to pump his wedge in and the result,,, the prem so the hard core cant be arguing 2 much, and he's started to up the anti with the transfers, fees whats the latest 9m for chile , cant say ive heard of him, but good luck to the red birds ?? they will need it for sure

Why have they decided to play in red after 104 years.....to sell more shirts?

that and the new owner is apparently obsessed with the colour red and its good luck connotations.

red 'symbolizes good fortune and joy' for Asians, so far so good then , wonder what they'll put it down to if they get relegated?. being blue for so long no doubts thumbsup.gif
