Hi im in a bit of a situation here !! i married a thai national she came to the uk and it didn't work out so she went back to thailand.I havent spoke to her in five years i lost her number then out of the blue yesterday i got a phone call from her saying that she had got divorced in thailand and is now remarried with 2 kids to someone from Greece. so i need to know how about finding out if she is telling the truth or not..... i had sent someone over to thailand five years ago with divorce papers which were handed to her but they were never signed !! but if she has got divorced then surly it will be registered in the marriage registration office ?? i dont know if anyone could find me the adress of the office in Waritchaphum district Sakon Nakhon province?? it would be very much appreciated i just seem to be banging me head against a brick wall otherwise cheers !!

If you have her Thai ID-number, any Amphur can find out if the divorce to you was registered, and if her marriage to the Greek was indeed official.

I wonder if the Thai Embassy could help you?

Sorry I can't help wuith the address or phone number you're seeking but the following may help. If she did divorce without your knowledge it would have been through the courts.

Thai registry offices are now computerised so if you have one or more of the following you could contact any registry office and ask.

Her Thai ID number

The wedding registration number

The divorce court certificate of case finalisation number.

The registry office using any one of those numbers could easily check to see the status of your marriage. If she is divorced as she claims, the registry office can issue you your copy of a Khor Ror 6. Registration of Divorce. She wouldn't need your signature to register a court divorce. The registry office would have written "verdict in lieu of consent" in the signature block your signature would normally appear. The court verdict details will be printed on the back of the Khor Ror 6.
