Burma and Indonesia agreed to deepen economic ties during a meeting on Tuesday between President Thein Sein and his Indonesian counterpart, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, according to state media. The New Light of Myanmar reported that the meeting in Naypyidaw concluded with Yudhoyono targeting to boost bilateral trade between the two nations to US $1 billion by 2014. Last year trade totaled $470 million. The meeting also included bilateral cooperative accords in the fields of tourism, transportation, livestock and fisheries, agriculture, and energy.
