which seemed naively genuine at first. But as it progressed, I thought perhaps it's a troll topic...

suddenly he's not worried about national service because he is "deft in one ear" (allegedly a spelling mistake, and not a claim to stupendous prestidigitation).

So anyway, my suspicions were somewhat roused. But really, does anyone really have so much time on their hands, and yet still have the self-motivation to invent such a story? I know I'm a complete couch-potato, but I couldn't bring myself to make up some such nonsense, and I'd lack the imagination to do so.
