I really doubt whether the Phuket bound VIP buses will pass Cha Am town and if so will stop for passengers. AFAIK, those buses use the by-pass Cha- Am - Pranburi. I would like to advise you to contact Travel Agent Suthatinee 032-471984 or 0819816476 which is next to the Methavelai Hotel. They might come up with a solution to get you to Phuket in the most efficient way. Best of luck.

we travelled with the 999 company from hua hin to samui the other day and whilst waiting at the bus station in hua hin lots of buses stopped that were heading to phuket

all these buses will have come through cha am, and from our experience on our 999 bus, they will stop anywhere and pick up passengers, as long as the ticket is bought previously

999 were a good company for us, but not sure if they service the bkk - phuket route
