Q About Visit A Freind At Phuket Prison

Me is back down in Phuket for a couple of days and since me is here me want to go see a old freind that sits 1 more year left inside down here.

Me have only for a couple years before been down to the jail that is close to court here in Phuket and now me is getting really confused about a couple of things.

Before when she was sitting down in Arrest part close to Court me could go almost every day and see her but ok just for a couple of min each time.

But then it happened that you could on see ladys on wendsday and saturdays ( 1 time a week only )

But now when me is down here in Phuket and want to see here me most sort out first: Is there only Phuket Provincial Prison 11 Damrong Road that is a Prison in Phuket? Or is there any other smaller Prison where ladys are sorted? And what days can you go and visit inmates and is there any booking style or is it just to bring copy of passport and so and just que for your time?

Ok sorry for maybe stupid questions but would be really thankful if someone would help me out since cant find answers anywear on net..

But me wounder, Is there only the big Provincial Prison that have all inmates both Men&Lady in Phuket? If want to go for visit what about times and moments and so?

Thanx again and hope all best for all of you aswell!

Thanx Shot but me cant find really anything of what me is searching there... Ohh sorry my freind that sits here down in Phuket is Thai so nothing about farangs or so.

I tried the [email protected] from 3 different mails but it seems like that mail is total dead sadly.

I really not want to either call or visit Court house and try to sort out where ladys sits and when its open for visit at them.. Me really can promise to 99.99% that will just end up that get some totally wrong answer after you have tried to get reply from 99 persons before but not get in anyway a polite and friendly replay..Staff for the Justicia is ( sorry know ) Biggest and baddest .................. in Thailand according to my before experience.

But me try again little more clear now with my questions: Is Phuket Provincial Prison only Prison or is there more (not any arrests and some mean) And if there is more me wonder if maybe there is sorted like Mans on One of the Prisons and Ladys on the other. (Names if so would be really nice)

What times and days is it possible to visit a female in male? Or is it booking times before or is it just to stand in que? But days and what times open and closed would be really thankful.

Me think you click here > http://phaseloop.com/foreignprisoners/prison-thai-phuket.html

Me hope that help

Cheers for support Simon, But maybe to make things more clear i can tell that she sits for 2 years for Narcotic class crime, Is still a chance that she can be down at Bang Jo ? Really thankful for your support.

She may be at Bang Jo Detention Centre, a low-security prison near Pa Klok, Amphur Thalang.

I know someone who is in Bang Jo, was convicted to many years for narcotic possession. He's in his 5th? year now.

You're a fast learner BTW, your English is improving with every post.

Both places have male and female inmates, so I would say bigger chance for you to find her in Phuket Provincial Prison. I don't know if there are special days for visiting men and women there. I have been there just once, and the guy I came to visit could have visitors that are not family Tuesdays and Thursdays. Some of the people there speak good english, and it's first come first serve so just wait in line and then wait some more untill your name is called. If the prisoner have already had visit from someone else that day, you will not be allowed to visit, so maybe go early?

Bring copy of passport to put together with application for visiting.

Good luck!

Just an update,

I went and visited someone last week, It was a weds, got there about 10:30 and filed out an application who i wanted to see, signed in and had to give them copy of my passport ( there is a copy machine there for 3 baht) Usually ONLY family memebers are allowed but i guess for Farangs they are more lenient.

You then wait till your group number is called ( they also call the inmates name so pay attenetion)

waited about 90 minutes as it was very crowded, Ur allowed in to talk to them thru glass/wire via a telephone for apx 5 mnutes ONLY.

You can give them food but not sure how much as its weighed,

You can also give them money which is placed in a inmates account an they can draw from.

Was told Fridays are best day to visit Farangs, ( no idea why)

they were very helpful to me
