Best Beach For Swimming In June

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'll be coming over to Samui for a few days in June, and I'd like to stay at a hotel on a beach which has deep, clean water. I did a search of this site and saw that some of the beaches are having a severely low tide, so I'm hoping that someone can give me up to date recommendations.

Thanks very much.

In June - the wind is from the west. A beach on the east is probably best. The deepest/shelving beach is probably Lamai. cool.png

My personal favourite is Choengmon thumbsup.gif - but it's a gentle slope. Soon swim out to the deeper water though.

All beaches will be similar at low tide - the water is the same height all around the island? whistling.gif

Parts of Maenam beach is pretty good, as is Ban Tai beach, Also checked out Ban Por beach the other day and they are all swim-able !

So North end beaches are OK.... although could depend on exact location, both Maenam and Ban Por beaches are very long...

Usually every after noon there are 20 to 30 people swimming at Ban Tai, nice sand on that beach too... Maenam beach varies but the west end is good.... same amount of people swimming there too...

This is west end of Maenam beach, near Lomprayah ferry ... often fairly busy with swimmers!
