was a satirical rubber puppet series that screened in Australia in

various forms from 1984 to 1990. It appeared on TV comedies like The

ABC's ..

Now those who rely on these numbers have a problem.

Not just a small difference but quite a large one that now shows that in April exports dropped rather than increased.

When the May figures come out will they be the correct ones and can they be used to make business decisions?

Not only have the Commerce Ministry got it wrong but they have discredited themselves.

A bit like the white lie to give investors confidence.
