Get It Now! Nytimes On Password Manager Dashlane

Featured Replies

I can't see any difference between it and Keypass 2 which I use, except Dashlane does not work for Linux, and Keypass is open source.

^ Same here, I will keep on using KeePass 2 as it has been good to me !!

Can you get Keepass2 to auto fill usernames and passwords? I use Roboform which used to be great but is not good with some browsers. I've tried Lastpass but I'm a bit wary of leaving my passwords in the cloud.

The quick answer is yes.

See here , here and here for more information.

There are also lots of plugins for integrating with special apps and a portable version as well.

I did not use last pass for the same reason.

I have my keepass database stored on the cloud but it requires a 2 factor authentication to open (strong password and a keyfile not in the cloud) plus of course initial access to my cloud folder

I wonder how much he got paid for advertising Dashroad, er, SoiDash, DashWhatever. I for one have never heard of it.

I have been using PasswordSafe for years, have over 400 passwords saved in a secure database which is nicely structured, easy to read, easy to find stuff. It can not only fill in names and passwords on websites but can browse to the necessary URL first.

It's free open source software from Sourceforge.net.

Same here, use Keepass2 and very happy with it. Saved the database in my Dropbox folder so I can access all my accounts also from my Android phone.
