coolant for vios?

Featured Replies

The pink stuff is getting a bit low, can it be topped up with water or do you have to drain it like oil and fill with the pink coolant again?

Topping up with water is fine but be aware of that the freezing point will go up, so your engine block can crack if it gets below -10 deg.Cbiggrin.png.

The coolant liquid have anti corrosive properties so having it in the cooling water system is a good idea.

Do you have a leak in the system?

If it is a smallish amount no probs with water. I put in distilled water. Hasn't got nasty stuff in it. Coolant should be changed at the advised period. Hand book will tell you. smile.png

Strange then that the level gets low if you have no leaks.

OP. Remember the level rises in the fill bottle when hot and drops as everything cools down.

Never knew it went up and down like that thanks, maybe it's not low then.
