I hope this one doesn't meet one coming towards them on the wrong side of the road like another in Sukhothai recently.

Truckload of Petai (stink beans)...

I loves these beans...stir fried with minced pork

& prawns & chilies!

NB...couldn't get the rest of the ute in the shot.

Most people I know eat them straight from the pod and yes and they do have that effect.You are better off upwind.

I was "introduced" to these beans around 25 years ago in a forest in Malaysia.

Took a while to become a fan but nowadays I really do like em a lot! It amazes

the sellers at Ranong's veggie market when I buy a handful and wander off

peeling the skin and munching on a bean or two. I have a few recipe's I can

PM you if you want a go at em. They are very good for the renal system.
