Need to buy Zyxel USG50 dual WAN router by mail order

Featured Replies

Is there a computer/network equipment shop in Bangkok that can supply me with a Zyxel router by mail order?

I'm based in Luang Prabang, Laos and want to buy this router for my school, because I'll be using 2 ISPs (for redundancy). It's impossible to buy kit like this in Laos, but I'm sure there must be a Thai shop/web-site that can sell it to me and send by EMS to Laos.

Thanks for any advice

Check with forum sponser Invadeit:

I checked, but they only seem to sell 'home' use routers.... no dual WAN/redundancy routers

If not too urgent, for small stuff like this you can order from Amazon, BH Photo or another online retailer in the US that does free shipping domestically. Open an account with Shipito, get your goods sent to one of Shipito's warehouses in the US and then forward it to yourself in Thailand. I have ordered computer parts like this that were unavailable in Thailand where the choice of parts is sadly limited and usually more expensive than the US. Remember the duty on computers and computer parts is zero in Thailand but you have to pay 7% VAT. However, small lower value packages by mail often come through without tax. I sometimes order stuff like this now without even wasting my time to see what's available and at what price in Thailand.
