Court judgment that the father is the father of the child in Juvenal Court

Infant (can not speak or write)

Fathers name on the certificate registered with City Hall.

Mother agrees to have the father as the father

Document needed for embassy from the court documents from City Hall not enough.

Parents not married

Is there a need for a lawyer or can a person with Interpreter go to the court like in this case http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/381917-how-to-gain-parental-rights-as-a-father/

Please let me know if you been and how did it go?

Yes I have been through this procedure but I used a local Thai lawyer

I think if you were good at talking Thai you could do it yourself but if not I lawyer is very helpful

The lawyer cost me 10000 Baht and an interpreter was an extra 2000 baht for the court side of things

The first stage after the lawyer filed the paper was to be interviewed by at the children care I had to take somebody that could speak English and Thai but this could be anybody that you new but not the child's mother she was interviewed separately

The next stage was the Children's court where you will need an interpreter if you cannot speak Thai because he also had to sign some papers

I think that you was hoping that somebody would help you that had done this alone but has there was no replies I thought my experience might be helpful

Check your embassy's procedures. For many a DNA test is adequate proof. However, some embassies will only approve certain hospitals, so it's a minefield i.e. major hassle
