there is a driving school, but dont know how good they are.

drive over the train tracks as though your heading towards GEE supermarket, rockestra(ex) or the elephant village.

go past GEE supermarket, follow the road round to the right and 20 yards on the left is the driving school.

it has road signs painted on the building. cant miss it, unless your bind and in that case you wont be needing the lessons. :D:D:o

My (Thai) girlfriend used them (the place with road signs outside) last year seemed quite good she drives well now. They use a couple of pickups to teach.

Anyone with any suggestions where I can get driving lessons in Hua Hin?

Thanks

Why would one need driving lessons?

I got stopped on motorbike by a traffic cop for no helmet.

I had only an US license, he didnt seem to care, just wanted the 200thb. only the

driver needs a helmet, by law.

Well, if only the driver needs a helmet, by law, how come I had to make a 200 baht donation from my place on the pillion, and my unlicensed, unhelmeted Thai driver paid nothing? Well, maybe the law is different in Prachuap, Kiri's Kin. :o

I thought it was the law that the pillion passenger has to wear a helmet as well. It's just not enforced down here.

I think it is in BKK - please correct me if I'm wrong.
