Decoding frame/engine numbers

The frame and engine numbers for Honda CBR 150's start with CS150R (plus E for the engine number) then they have a dash and then a seven figure number like 00xxxxx.

Is the number after the dash just a consecutive number of the production unit. e.g. 0001234 is the 1234th vehicle off the line, or is there more meaning to the number? Can anyone shed any light on this?

Should be the order they are made / assembled , as you say,0001234. However , if they make a MK 2 / second series they may add a 2 somewhere , 0201234 for example ( or a letter )to denote a change.

Thanks for that. I am trying to figure out how my frame number came to be what it is.
