Anyone care to take a stab at what part of the city we are looking at here, from what direction and possibly the year? I see a tall Bangkok Bank (?) office on the right and that tapering multi-storey in the center is familiar but I can't quite place it.

Thanks to google earth, I worked out it is taken from the top of the Dusit Thani hotel, looking ESE with the Bangkok Bank head office (Silom 3-5) on the right, Diamond Tower (Silom 7) dead ahead and one of the Sathorn Thani towers on the left.

Now, what year?

There are now two Sathorn Thani towers and the picture only shows one so I guess finding out when each one was built would really narrow it down.
