I've met good American's and bad American's and I can say the same about every other nationality as well. In fact some of the biggest idiot's i have ever met have been from my own country.

The flight of the Kiwi has got so bad, that the government are calling it the "brain drain". Not enough skilled workers around..they are all working in the UK or USA.

Yes, if a yank wants to travel they can make it happen, but not over night, and it won't be often. The ones that leave are either with money and/or great credit, in the armed services, or the gave up a lot to move about the globe, like backpackers.

There's loads of Yanks who work in the Oil & Gas Industry and other fields that require travel back and forth outside the country.

Been doing it myself for almost 30 years and it's starting to suck...

hmmmmm.. so you travel from america to an oil field / rig with all facilities and sat TV to watch crap american TV, then you go back america for a month - oh yes thats going to bring you great knowledge of the world and other cultures....
