Motorcycle Registration Plates

Featured Replies

I bought a Honda Wave from the Honda dealer in Warin Chamrab 5 months ago and still have not received the Plates and book. The reasons range from incorrect paperwork to the floods of two years ago.

Has or is anyone experiencing the same delay or am I the forgotten sock in the laundrette of oblivion?

Many thanks

Reg O'Less,

Ubon Ratchathani

The dealer is supposed to provide you within a month however I do know one of my staff who bought a bike a while ago took 3 months to get it. Keep onto them and raise the voice a little. .....just a little.

it took me 5 months to get my plates from a kawasaki dealer in ubon, just keep asking politely .

it wont happen over night but it might happen before you die of old age!

It took us about 6 months to get the plates and then another 6 months to get the rego book. We kept a photocopy of the initial rego paper from the dealer with us to ensure proof of registration in case wifey was pulled over by the police.

I'm 8 months & still waiting...

Thanks for all the replies above; looks like I'm not alone after all !!

Have you requested a specific number? If so, and dependent on the number, it can take up to 1 year. When I purchased my bike from Honda, I requested the number 333. It took about 5 months to arrive, but when we recently changed that number we were issued the new plate and number the same day.
