Jack's Golf Tours

Featured Replies

Hi,

Does anyone know if Jack's Golf Tours is still offering the visa run service to Poipet? I e-mailed them a week ago and never received a response. I have also called both numbers listed on their website, but no one answered one number and the other is not in service.

Is there another outfit that offers this service? Or is there another overland immigration point that is near a beach that could be accessed?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Right. The website is not the issue. The issue is they never responded to my inquiry via e-mail and I have not been able to reach them by phone.

Did you check phone numbers on webpage are the same as the one's you tried.

Try doing a Google search for "Thailand visa run Cambodia". It shows several visa run services.

For a location near the beach try Hat Lek in Trat near Koh Chang.

I was looking at that option. Do you have any idea how easy/difficult it is to go in/out?

I just need to go in/out to activate my second visa on my double-entry visa. I was hoping to fit in a short beach break as well.

Thanks!

Probably better than Poi Pet. Plus it is a Cambodia e-visa location.

I'm sorry. I have used the e-visa before, but I'm not sure how it would work in this case. Could you kindly explain?

So then I could simply apply for an e-visa and cross overland at Hat Lek in Trat near Koh Chang, and then come back into Thailand the same day?

Thank you!

Same day no problem. Be sure you have copy of e-visa for departure from Cambodia.

Thank you very much for all the information!

The E-visa is not valid at all crossings..be sure to check to list on the website. The crossing at Hat Lek has always been one of the more difficult ones. Frequently would only accept Thai Baht...refusing US$20 even though that is the legal fee. Sometimes demand B1200++++. I have seen people have "REFUSED ENTRY" stamped on their passports if they got too obstreperous regarding the Entry Fee scam.

This was all 3+ years ago, things may have changed.

Also, very intensive tout action on the Cambodian side...Cigaretts, Liquor, Vitamin V, "Take care visa for you"...

E-Visa is ONLY available for use at PoiPet, of the Camboidian land borders with Thailand.

Poipet is very crowded right now, with a zillion Cambodians hanging around. Consider a different crossing location.

Usually you can get away with paying US$20 plus THB100 "tax" for the Cambodian visa.

Hat Lek in Trat (Koh Kong) is also a crossing that accepts e-visas. See: http://evisa.mfaic.gov.kh/
