Police arrest drug kingpin, seize assets worth THB120 million

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN: -- Police seized THB120 million worth of assets belonging to a suspected drug kingpin in Prachuap Khiri Khan yesterday.

Chairat "Ut" Nuthong, 50, allegedly ran a luxury resort that is thought to be a front for illicit activities.

The suspect was lured into selling methamphetamine to undercover officers in Pran Buri district, police said.

Police found the man had allegedly hidden 6,000 speed pills in his car and another 1,000 pills in his room in Kinnari Resort and Spa. The resort was one of his assets seized yesterday. [read more...]

Lol... A kingpin wouldn't sully his hands with any drugs. And if I put on my CSI hat on, Im thinking the poor bastard really pissed someone off.

Who's got the key to the evidence locker?

The stuff will be on the street in a few days except for enough to produce in court or generate a large teapot of money.

The real Thai drug kingpins wear uniforms and have APCs and tanks at their disposal.
