Masa/Tortilla Lovers UNITE!

Featured Replies

Not really the same same Tawais..........that's just ground corn, good for corn bread and other things, but masa is a whole different product and it seems that Kasim's does have some in stock as reported on the CM forum. Unfortunately it's the yellow variety, but I'll give it a try and a report.

Thanks for the clarification. Just was reading the package and showed how to make tortillas on it. My interest was for corn bread and been looking for that for a while.

Saw these on the shelf at Rimping Nim City a couple of days ago.

That Polenta in the picture is great, easy to make and eat with a variety of sauces. Would probably make fine tamales.

They might taste good but they wouldn't taste like Mexican tamales which use masa, not corn meal.

No they certainly won't, can't imagine why anyone would expect them to?
