This is actually a new park that has been made near to where I live.It was built to show how the Dutch could flood areas of land when under attack from enemy forces.

Rijn and Lek windmill at Wijk bij Duurstede (The Netherlands)

This mill is quite famous in the Netherlands because it is the only mill ever to be built onto a city wall gatehouse.

It was built in 1659 and is still in good working order,in fact I bought some flour from the mill to make a cake with.

Apologies for the amount of photos in this post,I did manage to whittle it down to 8 from the 200+ images taken of the mill that day.

Had the privilege today to go out with fellow member Shaggy and explore the midievel castle of Bentheim. He and his SonyA6000 have taught me a lot. I learned about the advantage of viewfinders the most.

The Chapel at Bad Bentheim castle.

The craftsmanship in the chapel was amazing but one item seemed to stand out to me more than the rest.

I would also like to thank DAL for being a wonderful host and guide,I had a great day shooting together DAL and hope that it was the first of many.
