Klaus,

You show your wife all the places, I would like to visit with my wife.

Paris, Vienna, Munich, Luzern, Schaffhausen, Black Forest, Venice, the Alps.

It's scary, how exact your route matches with my imagined one!

Last year, I just walked around the Eibsee with my brother...

This summer she touched snow for the first time, what a trip!

Mount Athos , Part II.

Some more pictures for Atrippick to enjoythumbsup.gif

Chonburiram, been to all these places you mentioned, taken lots of photos, but have nothing to show now as they were all taken with my old Minolta.

Always used to print the pictures and throw the negatives away.

But I still dream, I will go back one day before I snuff it.

No Tulips! ! ! Where's the gouda cheese??????

Nice set of photos Shaggy! Next time, when the tulips bloom you can take some photos and clone them in to these shots and repost. thumbsup.gifwhistling.gif

Sorry folks,still no tulips sad.png

Great shots, in particular the windmills. I have to ask though are they still working performing useful tasks or are they just for show, I can't help noticing that they are very well maintained. In my primary school years we were told that they were used mainly for grinding grain.

The pic of the house - superb!

Water & reflection - wow!

@ Stix.......Thanks mate, seen that done a few times before already,a bit tacky.......what about doing a field of Gouda cheese instead? biggrin.png

@ fang37....Thank you very much for your kind comment!

@ Ron......That's what I used to think also mate,Windmills were only used for milling corn, hence the name windmill.Since then I have learned different,

it turns out that they were used for multiple things.......water pumps, sawing tree trunks into planks, grinding flour, extracting oil from oil bearing plants,

and probably many other things as well.

This is my last post on windmills for sometime,I apologize for making too many posts on the same subject.

Evening falls.

Enough for all.

Just a note to Shaggy, get your camera dusted off and ready for action around early March till the middle of May to catch some shots of the tulip fields so I'm told.

Isle Mainau, Lake of Constance... Strange place... Commercially corrupted, but you can still sense the magic...
