Bought one at homepro. It malfunctioned. Took it back. They sent it to Bkk for repair. In less than two months I got it back. Works fine.

Yep ,the one i got from Homepro ,with brand name Asgatec only lasted for a little over a year with light use .

Black and Decker from Home Pro, 4,750 baht just on 5 years use (excepting dry season) small area,hasn't missed a beat.Having said that in Global House the other day they seemed now to have a bigger range.

I love my Bosch. I think it is 1350 watt. They make a slightly smaller one. Get the big one like mine, with grass catcher, long power cord, adjustable height, satety switch, lovely.

Not expensive. Really light, mowing is one hand on mower handle while the other hand flips the cord out of the line of cut. I can hold it in the air, straight out in front of me (with two hands) and I'm not Hercules. Grass catcher on and off is super easy, or you can mow with it off. German engineering I would think. Go to a power tool shop to buy.

Inspired by this thread i had another look at it and got it going again .It was just a stiff cut off switch .

Yes the one i mention before is only 1000w and struggles badly if the grass is even a little bit high .If buying again i would go for a bigger motor even though i am dealing with a small area of around 50 sqm of grass .
