phompen Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I need to do an extensive test on my mouth temperature and blood pressure test every 2 hours, where to find a digital thermometer for the mouth and a blood pressure test tool in Bangkok ?
lopburi3 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Just about any pharmacy store will have. Or branch type units in shopping centers.
phompen Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 thank you, I will try to find, and post the address here if I've found
thaiexpat21 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Please, if you can, explain the reason for this extensive test ? I have never heard of this test before.
ToddWeston Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Please, if you can, explain the reason for this extensive test ? I have never heard of this test before. It is becoming more common the Ambulatory test. http://www.patient.co.uk/doctor/Ambulatory-Blood-Pressure-Monitoring.htm OP were you advised what position to take your BP in ? sitting, laying, standing ?
lopburi3 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Sorry I was thinking was going to manually measure - if talking about wearing such a recording apparatus do not believe it will be found anywhere and not even sure hospitals will have for outpatient use but probably the only chance - perhaps a night in ICU would be required (although that involves the white coat factor). Home testing of any kind is seldom done here but do know cardiac monitors are available for out patient. And I agree completely that it is a much better indication of real blood pressure and do myself during day but manually. I suspect you will have to consult with a doctor/hospital.

Good news looks like BNH has such portable devices. http://www.bnhhospital.com/en/medical_services/detail/Heart-Centre

Every two hours ? We don't know if the OP is male or female it is referred to as the Basal test. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basal_body_temperature
