The Republicans had to take their strong and public stance demanding a delay in the start of Obamacare so they wouldn't be blamed for its outcome. It is now obvious to everyone who it is that forced this on Americans and the Democrats were very public about being proud of themselves.

Now when/as is crashes, the Republicans can sit back like the cat that ate the canary and enjoy watching their opponents crash.

You really believe that? Because that would take a really cohesive, brilliant, and daring strategist, none of which are hallmarks of today's GOP. No NS, it's much, much simpler than that. Because revamping the severely broken US medical care system would be a huge accomplishment for any sitting President. The Republicans know that this will be President Obama's legacy and they don't want him succeeding in anything, especially something so significant. That's it, and that's all.

"Because revamping the severely broken US medical care system would be a huge accomplishment for any sitting President."

Good grief. Anyone who thinks Obamacare does one single thing to revamp a broken health care system hasn't paid attention. It does nothing to fix the problems with the health care system. It leaves all of the problems intact, and attempts to force them on people.

Obama's "legacy" will be Obamacare all right. He will be known as the King of Disasters.

People truly need to stop beginning their thinking with the idea that Obamacare fixes anything or helps anyone. It's an unmitigated disaster.

You should read this article regarding the original implementation efforts:

http://edition.cnn.com/2013/10/28/opinion/carroll-gop-obamacare-hypocrisy/index.html?iid=article_sidebar

Essentially, the GOP has been trying to make implementation difficult, if not impossible, from the beginning. And when the rollout was a disaster, they sit back and say "I told you so!" Nevermind that they caused the problem to begin with. Amazing. Politics in America.

Typical slanted media spin. The US has 3 branches of Government. The Legislative, the Executive, and the Judicial. The rollout of Obamacare is completely the responsibility of the Executive branch of which Obama is Chief.

No money? The executive branch decides what it spends its money on, and it spent something like 600 million dollars on a web site which doesn't work, and which should have cost no more than $1 million. The US is the land of web sites with high traffic such as Ebay, Twitter, Google, Amazon, Facebook etc. and this puny website designed for use by a relatively few people compared to the commercial sites listed above would be a walk in the park for the right people. But government is always the King of Screwups.

Just keep watching the news. This Obamacare is a screw-up from one end to the other and all of the news going forward will be bad. It was voted into law without one single Republican vote, and is all Democrats', and they've had 3 1/2 years since it was voted into law, with Obama at the helm, to get it ready.

I'm waiting for Obama to write an executive order making it illegal and with severe penalties to refer to the ACA as Obamacare.

From the, above, CNN article:

"HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius made the controversial move of asking insurance companies and nonprofit organizations to donate money and help. Republicans were outraged. She asked for more money. She was refused."

And I'll bet they weren't even aware of the obvious waste and abuse of paying top corruption dollar for www.healthcareless.gov

She'll have her chance to do some splainin in front of them this week. I know, I know, I can hear it now - CMS did it. Maybe she can upstage the recent, SNL rendition.

Perhaps this will help. Purely by coincidence I'm sure, Ms. Townes-Whitley joined CGI only two months after President Obama signed Obamacare into law.

Michelle Obama and CGI Federal executive belonged to student group at Princeton that hosted pro-terrorist speaker

First Lady Michelle Obama and her Princeton classmate whose company received the no-bid government contract to build the HealthCare.gov Obamacare website were both members of a black student organization that caused a tense scene on campus by inviting a PLO leader who advocated for terrorism.
Michelle Obama ’85 and her classmate Toni Townes-Whitley ’85, a senior vice president at CGI Federal, were both students at the university when their groups the Organization of Black Unity (OBU) and the Third World Center (TWC) engaged in a confrontation with Jewish students on campus.
Michelle Obama was a member of both the OBU and TWC during her time at Princeton (1981-85). Townes-Whitley also belonged to OBU and TWC.

Believe what you will.

No Bid Contract For ObamaCare Website Was Given To Michelle Obama's Pal And Sorority Sister
There's an interesting thing that's surfaced regarding the disastrous $678 million ObamaCare website.
The company that built it, CGI Federal received a no bid contract to build the site, even though four other companies submitted bids which were never reviewed. Only CGI’s bid was considered.
<snip>
As the Daily Caller reported, Toni Townes-Whitley, Princeton class of ’85, is the senior vice president at CGI Federal...and not only a classmate and friend of the First Lady, who graduated from Princeton the same year, but a sister at the all black sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha and a fellow member of the Association of Black Princeton Alumni.

So, again, still no personal connection between the two. Surely such big and ominous events by this group should have produced some pictures of the two of them together? Or maybe....just maybe.... the contract was awarded to a company that had been pre-approved by the Bush administration.

" should have produced some pictures of the two of them together? "

makes you wonder about a number of other relationships now..........................

OK. Thanks for that. Now your argument about the relationship has credibility.

I wonder if this relationship will continue after this little fiasco?

ObamaCare screw up sends callers to cupcake shop
By Tara Palmeri and Beth DeFalcoOctober 30, 2013 | 2:53am
Thanks to ObamaCare, New Yorkers can now get health insurance with rainbow sprinkles.
In yet another bungle for the botched government insurance rollout, the state Health Department has mistakenly listed numerous non-health-related business as enrollment sites — including a Brooklyn cupcake shop that has been besieged by callers.
“I have nothing to do with this,” said Carmen Rodriguez owner of Brooklyn Cupcake in Williamsburg. “I run a very busy establishment, and I’m like, what is going on?”

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius testified before Congress today about the massive screw ups. I'm amazed her handlers didn't have her better loaded up with spin.

Congress and federal employees are exempt from Obamacare, naturally. So, someone asked her if she herself was going to sign up for Obamacare. I never saw anyone look more uncomfortable or squirm more.

There simply are no excuses for Obamacare from one end to the other.

A majority of Americans 52 percent believe the health care law needs either a major overhaul or to be completely eliminated, a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds.

Forty-four percent think it either needs minor modifications or that its working well as is.

The Obama administration maintains that the health insurance exchange website can be fixed, but acknowledges major problems.

By Michael O'Brien, Political Reporter, NBC News

" President Barack Obama’s seemingly hands-off management style is raising fresh questions and concerns that could upend his second-term legacy. "

Talk about stating the obvious! Notice how they use the term " leadership style " and inside the article " seemingly hands-off management style ". Truly another journalistic exercise in putting lipstick on a pig! Far more truthful and accurately descriptive terms would be incompetence or ineptitude.
Another gem from this article is an excellent example of "Inside the Beltway" politico blah-blah. From the above referenced article:

“ The president's certainly got some work to do in getting people focused on his agenda,” added Democratic operative Jamal Simmons, who floated the idea of the administration bringing in an adviser from outside Obama’s close-knit inner circle to shake-up internal thinking. “Mainly it just seems that the White House has been reacting to issues as they arise and not getting out there and setting the agenda. ”

What a pantload of crap! These series of bungles have nothing to do with Obama not "getting people focused on his agenda" or "setting the agenda". They have much more to do with Obama not having a clue as to what is going on in his own administration. Obama is the Chief Executive of the United States. He is the chief/in-charge/manager of the Executive Branch of the government. If he is not aware of nor responsible for these major actions occurring in his branch of government, who is?
