Plus Salad

Featured Replies

There is a new health-foody type cafe called Plus Salad a few shops down from Archer's Pub on Ratchapakanai Road, not too far from AUA or the UN Irish Pub. It is very nicely furnished and comfortable with lots of plants like a lush fern bar in California.

They have lots of fruit and vegetable juices and coffee and other drinks as well as salads, soups, sandwiches and some Thai dishes. They also do breakfast with free range eggs and such.

I tried the pumpkin soup and a Greek salad. Both were of decent quality, but the Greek salad was rather sparse with ingredients other than lettuce. I'm not sure what salads are going for these days as I usually make my own, but they might need to raise the price from 70 baht and add a LOT more vegetables and feta cheese. For a place that is named "Plus Salad", the salad was nothing to jump up and down about.

As far as I can see, so far - I have a feeling that they just opened,- the main attraction is a really nice looking, comfortable place to hang out, but it is pretty obvious that the owners know something about good food. The place shows promise.

It is pretty common all over the world, but not in Greece where it originated.
