November 5, 201312 yr As for names I kinda like ...Familymart ...& Minimart...both translate well in thai...Jealousy is such a curse. Why bother posting something like that? You make yourself look very jealous. Poor soul. We learn to smile indulgently or to comment satiracally.....
November 28, 201312 yr Planning the babies name went right out of the window for me. baby born Chinese new year - year of the dragon. So now baby name is Mung Korn, due to the event being lucky for him in future or some such. and another side, some miss-communication with the teelack - my other son's translated name came out as Tonic instead of Anthony on the birth certificate Told her we need a daughter now called Gin, :-)
December 6, 201312 yr First of all congratulations on your wonderful news David, your life is about to change beyond all recognition. Regarding naming the children, when our children were born in the UK we knew we would be raising them here & that would have to be the first priority. So we gave our children western first names and then Thai middle names to connect them with their Thai routes. Also as we were going to be raising them such a long way from their Yai we asked her and her partner to choose there middle names, of course if they had chosen something awful we would have asked them to choose again Toby Jirawut Waterloo & Layla Onuma Waterloo Good luck & enjoy the experience
