Bike Respray

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of any repair shops that do reasonable repaints on motor bikes and about how much it costs, I am looking to tidy up my nouvo.

easier to buy new body kit for small bikes there available everywhere

I use a paint shop that sells a large selection of custom colors. Pearls metal flake & Chameleon. They also have regular stock colors. The shop has a painter that does some real good work! They sprayed My ER6n for about 10,000 because I had double the amount of panels sprayed. Very reasonable & great quality. The name of the shop Is Mukdelight almost across the street from Maxxis tires (just past Pattaya Nua on sukimvette. Pm me & I will get you tele number & directions or look here

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/669428-paint-shops-for-custom-paints/ It has directions in the post. The owner speaks English decent & tells the painter what you want. I have sent 20 people there & the 6 people that had work done had high praises of the place. Unlike Toyota the body man can do any creative mods as well.He also does a great job on the frame if you need to repaint. I am currently finishing the front light housing & tach area and the wrap around the seat. Last will be the tank.

Sounds just what i wanted as i wanted to spray it a dark candy apple red instead of the crappy red that comes standard.

I also agree that it is very cheap to buy all new snap-on body parts from the Honda shops or most motorcycle parts shops.

10,000 baht is a LOT to spray a bike.

Not this paint The paint was 7500 just for the paint. But it is the most expensive color in The U.S. England all of Europe Australia & here. for 2 qts. in the U.S. it is close to $400.00 not including hardner fisheye remover reducer & then there is the clear coat. Mine is a custom not a schlock 1 coat spray on. The labor is for 14 pieces. Not a motoscooter. I charge in the U.S. for this exact job close to $1000.00 just for the labor & have many jobs I do at this price. I don't deal to the cheaper crowd. They get to go to Earl Schieb or Miracle. My Hybusa Kawi 1000 Kawi1100. & 3 other bikes were shot in Imron. Aircraft paint. You don't even want to know the price if 10,000 baht sounds high for you. Typical is 5000 baht for a respray. It depends what you want & you know the saying you get what you pay for. All my top end Jobs come with a 10 year guaranty & have only had one job fail in 36 years as a painter.

Yes 20 years ago.

Beardog, I agree that good paint, good job etc costs money and I'm not a cheapy when it comes to a good paint job. That would be ok on a chopper like mine or a decent bike however the OP was asking about getting a Nouvo sprayed so....

Piccadilly Circus: You might be right about the snap on parts. I wouldn't know these days but yes many years ago they were cheap for the standard Honda Click etc but 10k to spray a guys Nouvo might still be a little to much unless he does want to invest in a nice custom job like Beardog was saying.

Next time I get my bike painted I might go for a mural if anyone knows a good painter? This won't be for some time however.

A friend dropped their Fino and genuine plastic they were quoted around 30k and that was only part of the bike...

The only reason I re- mention it - the OP pm'd me & said he wanted to switch his ride to a custom set of colors Instead of just replacing the parts. But you know the prices have gone up substantially since 2006 when I replaced panels. Now almost double.
